HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

2 2 eggs
2 Tbsp 2 AYAM™ Light Soy Sauce
2 2 chicken breasts, cut into large cubes
4 Tbsp 4 cornflour
Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
White sesame seeds, for garnish
- HONEY LEMON SAUCE
1/4 cup 1/4 water
1/4 cup 1/4 honey
2 Tbsp 2 tomato sauce
1 tsp 1 5 Spice (optional)
1/4 tsp 1/4 AYAM™ Pure Sesame Oil
Juice of 1 lemon
Zest of 1/2 lemon
Method
- Whisk together eggs and soy sauce. Toss in chicken, coat and marinate for 20 minutes.
- For the honey lemon sauce, combine all ingredients in small pot and bring to the boil. Then turn down to low heat and simmer until thickens.
- Add cornflour to chicken. Mix through until there are no lumps.
- Heat oil in wok to 180°C. Carefully place chicken pieces one by one into oil and deep-fry in batches until golden brown. Drain chicken pieces on paper towel or rack then place in bowl with sauce and toss until well coated and glistening. Place in shallow bowl and sprinkle over sesame seeds and a little extra sesame oil.
