How To Cook Crispy-Skinned Salmon

Ever wondered the secret to getting that satisfying crisp to your salmon skin? It’s all about starting with dry skin and a cold pan

Step 1

Pat salmon dry with paper towel.

Step 2

Rub skin with sea salt flakes.

Step 3

Starting with a cold pan, add oil. Place salmon in, skin-side down.

Step 4

Cook over medium heat for 6-7 minutes or until skin is crisp and golden brown.

Step 5

Turn salmon and cook for 1-2 minutes for medium-rare, or cook to your liking.

Step 6

Drain your salmon, flesh-side down, on paper towel. Voilà!
